You have probably all heard of the children's play area located in our store and called Småland. However, this is certainly not the only reason to come to IKEA with your kids. We have way more surprises for the little ones: from birthday gifts to inspiring tours.
“Trip to Sweden”
What do you know about Sweden? Have you been there before? If not, join us and visit. Travel tickets are not needed, as the trip to this country full of fascinating stories about its nature, culture, and traditions is starts right here, at the IKEA store.
Twice a month (and once a week starting from September), we organise interactive guided tours around the store for children in grades 1 to 6. These tours are a great way to get to know Sweden in a slightly different way. We will walk around the store, try to guess who lives in the Showroom interiors, play various games, learn more about the products and their names, listen to engaging stories about famous Swedish people, taste Swedish food and do many more things together.
Before we reveal the smallest details of the tour, better register your class, summer camp friends, or non-formal education companions and see everything yourself. We gather groups of up to 30 children.
Location: Vikingų st. 1, Vilnius. Duration: approx. 3 hours.
Is there such thing as having too many birthday cakes? Of course not. This is why we invite all children under the age of 12 to celebrate their birthday together. Here is how it works: take your little celebrant to the IKEA Vilnius store, show any document indicating the date of his or her birth to the greeter (this is the first co-worker you’ll see after entering the store), and get a voucher for a pancake cake that you can withdraw at the Swedish restaurant.
After you pick up the cake, don't forget to capture some happy moments. There is a festively decorated spot at the Swedish restaurant for your little one’s birthday photoshoot.
Yes to drawing on the walls
Waiting for parents to shop around, design a wardrobe, or discuss all the details of their future kitchen plan at the store can be tedious. This is why we have set up some waiting areas for kids in the most visited planning spaces. There are toys and drawing tools, but the main attraction here is the fact that one can draw on the walls without even asking! Got bored while waiting in the queue yourself? Grab a pen and amuse with your kids – there is no age limit for colours and fun.
You will find the walls for colouring in the PAX and kitchen planning areas, and a special cube for several children drawing together at once in the BESTÅ planning area.
